Raising support & awareness for post-traumatic stress disorder

PTSD BattleCry: A Canadian Call to Arms is an organization seeking charitable status to raise support and awareness for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD BattleCry: A Canadian Call to Arms originated from a project, Evening of Honour, which focuses on assisting small communities in honouring and remembering their local Afghanistan War Veterans through dedicating permanent memorials. These veterans include those who are still with us today and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, leaving us with just their memory. The memorial project is in partnership with the community, for the community and is meant to provide a permanent location in which one can grieve, honour and remember. After dedicating a location to grieve, the Evening of Honour co-founders saw the impact that the memorial has on not only the community but also soldiers and veterans. Co-founders, Jeremy Mac Knott and Kevin DeClark, wanted to continue this impact by further supporting the community and veterans by raising support and awareness for PTSD beyond the continuing efforts of Evening of Honour.
